STANFORD — Seven people have been arrested involving a meth lab busted Saturday in Stanford by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Curt Folger said Deputy Ryan Kirkpatrick reported to 199 Logan Ave. to serve an Arkansas probation violation warrant on Edward T. Jolly, 31, of Crab Orchard. Folger said his department had been looking for Jolly about two weeks.
When Kirkpatrick arrived at the residence, Jolly allegedly ran from the house. Kirkpatrick then discovered a one-step meth lab in plain view in the kitchen along with several other people in the home.
Jolly was found in the attic, and officers attempted to reach him by ladder outside the residence to avoid fumes from the meth lab.
Folger said when Jolly realized officers were nearing, he went back down in the house and hid under a bed.
“He refused to come out from under the bed,” Folger said, adding it didn’t take long for officers to arrest him. He was charged with resisting arrest and manufacturing methamphetamine.
Daren Walls, 31, of Stanford was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police on foot and manufacturing methamphetamine.
Also arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine were Susan Blevins, 40, of Crab Orchard; Kelly Beyerdoerfer, 39, of Stanford; Troy Martin, 38, of Stanford; and Eric Board, 30, of Stanford.
Homeowner Deborah Joan Cornelius, 60, was found at her daughter’s residence Monday, arrested and also charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
All were lodged in the Lincoln County Regional Jail.
Folger said a Kentucky State Police Hazmat unit was called to remove the meth lab.
