JAMESTOWN — An assistant commonwealth's attorney for Lincoln, Pulaski and Rockcastle counties was arrested earlier this month for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol.
According to a Kentucky State Park Ranger arrest citation, Jeremy A. Bartley, 35, of Somerset, was stopped at a road block south of Jamestown shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 9.
Bartley had "an odor of an alcoholic beverage" and failed field sobriety tests, according to the citation. A breathalyzer test clocked Bartley's blood-alcohol level at .124.
The legal limit for blood-alcohol level in Kentucky is .08.
Bartley was charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Commonwealth's Attorney Eddy Montgomery did not respond to a call for comment before press time, but told the Commonwealth Journal in Somerset last week that Bartley "will get his day in court just like everyone else" and there would be no immediate actions taken against Bartley.
