Man wanted in multiple counties arrested by Lincoln deputies after pursuit

STANFORD — Lincoln County sheriff's deputies arrested a man wanted in multiple counties after an on-foot pursuit Sunday.

Jeffery E. Hall, 31, of Waynesburg, was arrested on outstanding warrants from Garrard and Boyle counties for failure to pay child support and failure to pay fines, Sheriff Curt Folger said.

Deputies Keith Coffman and Gary Brummett encountered Hall while they were at a residence near Somerset Oil on U.S. 27 south of Stanford, preparing to serve a warrant on another individual, Deputy Ryan Kirkpatrick said.

The two deputies found Hall and the individual they were looking for at the residence. When Hall saw the deputies, he took off running, Kirkpatrick said.

"We've been trying to find him for a while on these warrants, and every time we get close, he takes off running," Kirkpatrick said.

Kirkpatrick said he was called to the scene after Hall fled and he pursued Hall with his K-9 partner, Ingo. Kirkpatrick and Ingo tracked Hall through a field to a wooded area, at which point Hall emerged and turned himself in, according to a press release.

Kirkpatrick said Lincoln County charges against Hall are pending and the case is still under investigation.
