Organizers were confident Saturday evening that this year’s Stanford Arts and Music Festival was one of the best ever held.
“I’ve never seen this many people,” said Bob Swett, Community Arts Center director.
The Friday crowd alone for the two-day festival easily topped 2,000, and Stanford’s Main Street and surrounding areas were packed out for the parade Saturday afternoon.
Vendors lined the streets selling burgers, hot dogs and steaks; kids painted, played games and launched themselves high into the air with high-powered trampoline ride; and music from blues to bluegrass to country emanated all around the downtown area.
