Stanford shaken baby case waived to grand jury

STANFORD — The case against a man accused of shaking a 6-week-old girl has been waived to a Lincoln County grand jury.

Lucas Vinyard, 29, of Star Avenue, waived his preliminary hearing last week.

Vinyard allegedly shook the daughter of Kisha Gosser, on Aug. 17.

Gosser's daughter suffered broken ribs and hemorrhages in its skull and eyes, according to an arrest citation.

When Gosser took her daughter to Fort Logan Hospital, police were notified an injured infant had been admitted. After investigating, state police arrested Vinyard Aug. 24.

Vinyard has been held without bond at the Lincoln County Regional Jail since his arrest.

The next Lincoln County grand jury meets later this month.
