HUSTONVILLE — Officers arrested two Hustonville men in connection to a meth lab on Old U.S. 127 on Sept. 12.
Matthew Turpin, 27, and Johnny Griffin, 36, were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger.
Folger said the property owner, who is a relative of Turpin, gave consent to search the residence, unaware of what the men were doing.
“We located the lab during the search,” Folger said.
Turpin and Griffin were brought in for questioning, during which time they admitted the lab was theirs. Both are lodged in the Lincoln County Regional Jail.
Students injured in Thursday wreck
STANFORD — Two students are recovering from minor injuries following a car wreck Thursday morning on Ky. 698.
Matthew Coffman, 17, was driving when he lost control of his car, dropped off the road and then overcorrected, sending the car 200 feet forward, where it struck a barn, according to Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger. The sheriff said Coffman and his passenger, Logan Miller, 17, were “very lucky.”
Both were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
