Hustonville man allegedly crashes vehicle into Danville house

A Hustonville man faces multiple criminal charges after allegedly driving drunk Friday night and crashing the vehicle into a Danville house, police said.

About 9:25 p.m. Friday, Danville police responded to 802 E. Main St. where a vehicle had crashed into the house. The driver, later identified as Joseph D. Morris, 38, of Hustonville, allegedly fled the scene of the wreck on foot, police said.

Authorities soon apprehended Morris at Long Run Apartments. He was charged with first-degree fleeing and evading and aggravated driving under the influence. A call to police was not returned immediately, and additional information about Morris' arrest was not available.

The vehicle Morris was driving was registered to Margaret Gooch of Hustonville, police said.
