HUSTONVILLE — One woman was airlifted and another was injured Monday morning after a three-vehicle wreck along U.S. 127.
Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger said Katherine Luttrell of Casey County was traveling north on U.S. 127 in her black pickup truck when Dylana Goatee of 4570 Ky. 2141 pulled into her path at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Ky. 2141.
Folger said Goatee was turning left onto U.S. 127 north in a gray sedan and pulled into Luttrell's lane, causing Luttrell's truck to strike Goatee's sedan. Goatee's vehicle then ran into another pickup stopped at the stop sign on the other side of U.S. 127, Folger said.
Goatee was airlifted from the scene and Luttrell was taken to a hospital by ambulance. The driver of the stopped pickup truck, Danny Maples of 130 Carter School Road, was not injured.
"I don't think there's going to be anything life-threatening from what I've been told," Folger said.
Stanford EMS, Lincoln County EMS, state police and Lincoln County firefighters from Station No. 3 also responded to the scene.
Firefighters began routing traffic around the scene via Ky. 2141 shortly after 9 a.m. The scene was cleared later Monday morning.
