Francis Ione Evans, 86, of Waynesburg, died Monday, March 12 at her home.
Born June 26, 1925, in Big Sandy, Tenn., Francis was a daughter of the late Elvis and Lorene Wheatley Berry. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Olian Berry; and a sister, Imogene Berry.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Lester Evans of Waynesburg; two daughters, Gail Millott of Palm Springs, Fla. and Gwen (Norman) Carter of Stanford; five brothers and sisters, Duane Berry of Houston, Texas, Joanne Coheen of Macon, Ga., Dean Berry of Pennsylvania, Sandra Gus of Virginia and Doris Kozak of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jason and Andrew Millott, Samantha Boswell and Jessica McCartney; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephew.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today (March 15) in Buffalo Springs Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy James officiating.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
