Arthur Miles, 78, of Waynesburg, died Saturday, March 16, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born Wednesday, May 2, 1934 in Letcher County, Arthur was a son of the late Jonah and Ettie Sturgill Miles. He was a retired coal miner for Blue Diamond and the widower of Margaret Bruner Miles.
Survivors include sons, Rollan and Roger Dean (Shannon) Miles; daughters, Rita (Ricky) Broughton and Rebecca (Mike) Todd; brothers, Charlie, James, Steven and Cecil Miles; sisters, Tootsie Ratliff and Sue Tyree; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 20 at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home. Burial was in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
