Bertie Jeffries, 100, of Hustonville, died Saturday, Feb. 23.
Born Sept. 27, 1912, Bertie was a daughter of the late Allen and Ida Coffman Murphy. She was a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church for 85 years where she taught women’s Sunday school and was the widow of Irvin “Red” Jeffries.
Survivors include a son, Samuel Glenn (Della) Jeffries; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lee Jeffries of Liberty, Samuel Alan (Tracy) Jeffries of Lexington and Shannon (Natalie) Cooley of Elizabethtown; and four great grandchildren, Jenna Bender, Derek Sallee and Emily and Reid Jeffries.
Funeral services were Feb. 27 at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial was in Middleburg Cemetery.
