Billy Craig Oakes, 86, of Lancaster, died Monday, March 4, at The Christian Care Center in Lancaster.
Born Monday, May 17, 1926, in Lincoln County, Billy was a son of the late William C. and Alberta Lunsfurd Oakes. He was a carpenter, a member of the Lancaster Church of the Nazarene and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife Lorraine McQueary Oakes; daughters, Sandra Oakes, Debra (William) Arnold, Patricia (Larry) Combs, Sheila Oaks and LaLana Oakes; a son, Donald Oakes; and a sister, Allene Grover.
Funeral services were March 6, at Lancaster Church of the Nazarene with Bros. Leon Thomas and Daryl Hodge officiating.
Cremation rites were honored.
