Donald Joseph Cain, 78, of Stanford, passed away Sunday, March 10.
Born June 19, 1934, Donald was a son of the late Leonard Earl and Erie Estes Cain. He was a farmer in the Turnersville community, a member of the Moreland Christian Church and a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a faithful Christian.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lena Kelley and Madaline Durham.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Coleen Lawrence Cain; a son, Joe (Joan) Cain of Springfield; a daughter, Judy (Darrell) White of Waddy; and seven grandchildren, Jon-Michael, Jordan, Joseph and Josh Cain and Austin (Evelyn), Adam and Rachel White.
Funeral services were March 13 at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland with Revs. Aaron Snelling and David Smith officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were nephews, Steve Kelley, George B. Elliott and Brian Singleton and grandsons.
Memorial contributions suggested to Moreland Christian Church Building Fund.
