John "J.C." Martin, passed away Friday, March 15, at his home.
Born July 18, 1928, in Lincoln County, J.C. was a son of the late Delphia (Woods) and Frank Martin. He was a farmer, a water hauler, a school bus driver for the Lincoln County School System for 18 years and a member of Pine Grove Church of Christ.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Florence Reynolds; and a brother, Bud Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Pearl Harris Martin of Stanford, whom he married Aug. 18, 1952; two daughters, Lana Kim Shipp and Rita Carmelita Mullins; five sisters, Virginia Durham, Ima Jean Goggins, Eva Bradley, Glenna Fabian and Linda Curlis; three brothers, Charles, Elmer and Paul Martin; four grandchildren, Deedra Shipp and William, Terrence and Stephanie Mullins; and three great grandchildren, Paige Mullins and Caden and Averey Napier.
Funeral services were March 19 at McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard with Bro. Curt Herrington officiating. Burial was in Crab Orchard Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were William, Terrence and Stephanie Mullins, Terry Sutton, Terry Pettit and Birchie Wilder.
