Mary Margaret "Margie" Braley, 90, of Crab Orchard, passed away Tuesday, March 5, at her home.
Born April 11, 1922, in Lincoln County, Margie was a daughter of the late Abe Harrison Brown and Susie Barker Brown. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ and the widow of John Daniel Braley, who preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1999.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne Braley; and sisters, Vivian Brown and Edith Thompson.
Survivors include sons, Edwin (Jewell) Braley, Dwight Douglas (Phyllis) Braley and Danny (Margaret) Braley all of Crab Orchard; four brothers, Joseph, Shirl, Jasper and Frank Brown; four sisters, Dovie New, Glenda Campbell, Sadie Carr and Rabeena Gilbert; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 8 at McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard with Bro. Mark Raulerson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Clinton Middleton, Eddie and Heath Braley, Eddie Braley, Jr., Shirl Brown, Jonathan Wilson and Dale Holtzclaw. Honorary pallbearer was Robert Wilson.
