Geneva Mae "Tom" Wesley, 90, died Monday, July 16.
Born May 2, 1922, Geneva Mae was a daughter of the late Estel and Stacie Wesley Godby. She worked for the Pulaski County Board of Education after retiring from Palm Beach in 1977 and was the only living charter member of West Science Hill Baptist Church. Geneva Mae enjoyed her children, grandchildren and friends tremendously and as well as her flowers and church.
She was also preceded her by her husband, Loyal Wesley on May 12, 2001, whom she married on Feb. 18, 1939; three brothers, Estel Godby Jr., Charles Godby and Robert "Bob" Godby; brother-in-law, Clyde Blevins; sister-in-law, Bernice Godby; and one grandchild.
Survivors include two sons, Jim (Morene) Wesley and Gary (Shirley) Wesley, both of Science Hill; one daughter, Brenda (James) Eubank of Richmond; one sister, Chestine Blevins of Lexington; sister-in-law, Betty Godby of Somerset; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great, great granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services July 18, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill with Bros. Don Branscum and T.J. Godby officiating. Burial was in West Science Hill Cemetery.
