Howard C. Gaylor, 89, of Eubank, passed away Friday, June 22, at his residence.
Born June 11, 1923, in Lafollette, Tenn., Howard was a son of the late Howard and Mary Broyles Gaylor. He was a mechanic for Chrysler Corporation and a Navy veteran.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Gaylor; and one sister, Pauline Broyles.
Survivors include his wife, Vida Ruth Bruce Gaylor of Eubank; one son, Jerry Gaylor of Eubank; one daughter, Sue Dewar of Toledo, Ohio; two brothers, Paul Gaylor of Lafollette, Tenn., and Virgil Gaylor of Florida; three sisters, Ailene Ayres of Lafollette, Tenn., Lois Yobaggy of Roanoke, Va., and Loretta Bragg of Covington, Va.; two grandchildren, Kimberly and Jennifer Dewar; and three great grandchildren, Taylor, Navee and Zola.
Funeral services were June 26, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill with Bro. Randy Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Etna Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38.
