Kenny Creech, 17, of McKinney, died Thursday, July 5, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
Born Nov. 7, 1994, in Danville, Kenny was the son of Glenda Staton of McKinney and Luther Creech of Lancaster. He had finished his junior year and was getting ready for his senior year at Fort Logan High School. Kenny enjoyed riding his dirt bike and skateboarding.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Victor Staton; and two uncles, Larry and Ryan Staton.
Other survivors include three sisters, Tiffany Warmouth and Samantha Creech both of Lancaster and Cassie Grogan of McKinney; maternal grandmother, Darlene Staton of Waynesburg; paternal grandmother, Olie Kele of Ohio; paternal grandfather, Lloyd Creech of Lancaster; Todd Grogan, his mother’s fiance; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services were July 10, at Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial was in Poplarville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Vince Staton, Jeff Staton, Hank Judge, Tucker Leach, Charlie Reynolds, Seth “Chubbs” Perkins, Mark Eldridge and Todd Grogan. Honorary pallbearer was Tucker Leach.
