I encourage all Lincoln Countians to take advantage of the services offered at our library. The library, now housed in a well-designed modern structure, is suited to the needs of today's patrons. The services offered by the library have evolved to include significant computing resources, audio books, ebooks, online genealogy resources, and a video collection in addition to their outstanding book and periodicals collection. Probably the most important resource of the library is the knowledgeable and helpful staff. I first started using the library when Mrs. Betsey Elliott was director. The same great service Lincoln County had come to expect under her leadership has been continued under Ms. Kay Peppard, Mrs. Jamie Mingo, and new director Amanda Gearhart.
I can't say enough about the children's programs offered. When my own children were in grade school, they attended the children's summer reading programs. Having come full circle, I take my grandson to the weekly reading programs that are now offered year round thanks to the library board and the children's librarian, Ms. Robin Comorat. Ms. Comorat's experience in working with children in Montessori schools and the Lincoln County School system coupled with her coursework in Early Childhood Development are an asset to the library and the county. Her lessons are thoughtfully prepared and include thematic activities that target the skill sets needed for each age group. She is a favorite of the children, but she also relates well to the adults in the library. I look forward to each of my grandchildren being led through books and social skills by Ms. Robin.
Sincerely,
Lynn McFalls
