The 2012 primary election is Tuesday, May 22. This is an extremely important election for Lincoln County. We have the opportunity to send one of our own to Frankfort in the District 80 House of Representatives race. Retiring Representative Danny Ford currently holds this District 80 seat which includes Lincoln and Rockcastle counties and three precincts in Pulaski County.
There are no Democrat challengers in this race, so this May 22 primary will determine our new State Representative. Republicans must show up at the polls for Lincoln County. Our County Clerk estimates turnout will only be about 5%. Surely there are more people than 5% in Lincoln County who care about the direction we take in Kentucky.
I urge everyone to contact all Lincoln County Republicans and ask them to vote. Talk to your neighbors, friends, and family. Do your homework on the candidates. Choose the most qualified candidate who will represent Lincoln County with the principles and values important to you. Let’s unite around that candidate and push him across the finish line.
