When I take time to sit down and make a list, I realize that there are many things that I take for granted on a daily basis. Maybe we all do, I don't know, but I wanted to say thanks to a group of women and men that often go too long without hearing the word thanks. They stand ready to protect us and care for us whenever necessary. The recent event at our local Stanford Wal-Mart has motivated me to remember to say thank you to our community's first responders and hopefully not to take so many other things for granted as well. To our first responders, thanks!
