Photos: Stanford sends off LCHS girls to Sweet Sixteen

Lincoln County fans of all ages bid a happy farewell to the Lincoln County High School girls' basketball team Wednesday morning as their bus took them on a victory lap of downtown Stanford. Crowds massed at Stanford Elementary and Fort Logan High School to wish the Lady Patriots good luck, and workers downtown left their desks for a few minutes to cheer the girls on and spray their bus with silly string. The team plays Owensboro Catholic in the first round of the state Sweet Sixteen tournament in Bowling Green at 1 p.m. Eastern Time Thursday. (Photos by Ben Kleppinger)
