Zach Johnson fired a two-over-par 37 to lead host Lincoln County to a nine-stroke win over Boyle County Tuesday at Dix River Golf Course.

Lincoln County carded a four-man team score of 183 in the match while Boyle County finished at 192.

Boyle’s Dakota Jarman and Ben Kendrick both had lower rounds than Johnson, with Jarman an even-par 35 and Kendrick at 36. However, 13 strokes or more separated Kendrick from Boyle’s number three and four players to bump up the Rebels score. Frederick finished with a 59 and Gibson had a 62.

The Patriots were all under 50 for the match, with Taylor Edwards shooting a 47, Hunter Munford following with a 49 and Roland Taylor rounding out the scoring with a 50.

The Patriot golfers will be playing in the Garrard County Invitational at Peninsula Golf Course on Saturday. On Monday, Lincoln will travel to Cedar Rapids Country Club in Mt. Vernon to play Rockcastle County.
