Chansler Gilbert led a balanced Lincoln scoring attack with 11 points last Tuesday as the Lady Patriots downed visiting Wayne County 58-44.
Lincoln (3-0) trailed 18-13 after the first but used a 14-5 second-quarter scoring edge to overtake Wayne 27-23 at the half.
The Lady Patriots led the rest of the way, posting a 40-30 lead after three periods of play then closing with an 18-14 scoring edge.
Rachel Spangler added 10 points in the Lady Pat win, Emily Fox and Caitlin Hall each scored seven points, Sydney Harris and Kourtney Belcher had six points apiece, Ciara Saylor had five points and Kelsi Honaker, Spencer Sims and Tiandra Hocker rounded out the scoring with two points each.
Wayne (2-2) was led by Jessica Hardin with 13 points and Jamie Roberts with 10. Other scorers were Hallie Gillespie with seven points, Monica Hopper with six, Tori Bell and Sydney Hicks with three each and Taylor Alexander, two.
