  1. A night at the opera to benefit Leeds

    Dr. Everett McCorvey, left, and Alisha Helm McCorvey brought the music of the Metropolitan Opera to Winchester Thursday when they performed “Love Letters” at the Leeds Center for the Arts, top photo. The two performed arias, including selections from “Porgy and Bess” and “West Side Story,” as well as several spirituals and selections by the late Clark County composer John Jacob Niles. Dr. William Cooper of Winchester accompanied the McCorveys during their performance at the Leeds Center Thursday, right photo. The concert was a benefit event for the Leeds Center for the Arts.
