  5. Gas leak briefly closes part of Main Street

    Employees of Nicholasville’s cemetery crew unexpectedly hit a gas line while digging a new grave with a backhoe in Maple Grove Cemetery Thursday morning. No one was injured, but the Nicholasville Fire Department closed down the 400 and 500 block of North Main Street for about 10 minutes while firefighters and Delta Natural Gas Company employees checked out the line.
