  1. Mo. Dept. of Natural Resources: 2,500 cattle are buried in trench near Halfway

    HALFWAY, Mo. -- The owner of a closed cattle rendering plant signed an agreement in court on Monday to make a plan to clean up environmental hazards on the property.  In the agreement, the Missouri Attorney General's Office says "an estimated 2,500 animal carcasses are buried" in an earthen trench at Halfway Packing Company in Polk County.

  3. Teenager is found after being lost 26 hours in Ozark National Forest

    ADVANCE, Ark. -- Searchers found an 18-year-old man who was missing in the Ozark National Forest in southern Baxter County.  A crew from the U.S. Forestry Service found Jay Greer Jr. of Little Rock about 7 p.m. Friday.  He was in a heavily wooded and rugged area about 2.5 miles from where his abandoned vehicle was found on Friday morning on Brush Creek Road near the rural community of Advance.  It took eight hours to get him out of the woods.
