    Did you know that in 1929 Kentucky School for the Deaf purchased a custom-made school bus to take students on outings and to ball games?&nbsp; It had seats along the sides to allow the students to communicate with each other across the aisle. Did you know that in 1874 Kentucky School for the Deaf began publishing a weekly in-house newspaper, the Kentucky Deaf-Mute, to give the male students an opportunity to learn the printing trade? KSD published the newspaper continuously from 1874 to 2004 with only a name change in 1895 &mdash; to the Kentucky Standard. Did you know that Jacobs Hall, the National Landmark building on Danville&rsquo;s Second Street, was built as a dormitory for the older girls? Completed in 1857, the total cost of construction was $39,150.44.
