    The winner of the first Danielle Thomas Memorial Scholarship, in the amount of $1,000, is Ryan Kramp. From left are Jamie Thomas Bright, Danielle Thomas&rsquo;&nbsp; mother, Bill Summers, director of Boyle County bands, Ryan Kramp and Juanita Hardgrove, Danielle's grandmother. Ryan is the 17-year-old son of Robert and Leigh Ann Kramp of Danville. The scholarship was created following the death of Danielle Thomas, Class of 2003,&nbsp; who was a six-year member of the Boyle County Marching Rebels and she played the alto saxophone. Money for the scholarship was raised from the sale of purple Justice for Danielle wristbands. The scholarship will be&nbsp; awarded on an annual basis to a senior band student who plans to major in music education in college. Ryan plans to attend Eastern Kentucky University.
