    Bellevue Cemetery is the final resting place of many Kentuckians, ranging from governors and Civil War generals to unidentified soldiers in the National Cemetery section. A paved road weaves between towering stone monuments and modest markers, over sloping green hills and under stately trees, next to the graves of familiar names — Boyle, Owsley, Bell and Fry, among others. However, stepping off the path and into the rows of tombstones can lead to some fascinating discoveries.
