  3. David Masters: June 12, 2012

    David Allen Masters, 52, a native of Nicholasville and son of Luther and Mamie Bentley Masters, died Tuesday, June 12, at UK Hospital. David was a former Nicholasville street-department employee, a former employee of Jessamine County maintenance department, and was also a self-employed bricklayer. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion of 33 years, Sherry Burch; three children, Joseph Tipton of Somerset and Corey and Sasha Burch of Nicholasville; sister Michelle Wyman; brother Mike Masters; niece Kassie Peck and husband Stewart; and nephews Tyler Masters and Josh Buckler. A remembrance ceremony will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Joe Turner, Cory Burch, Doodle Peel, Paul Wells, Russ Meyer and Stewart Peck. Honorary bearers will be Tyler and Mike Masters, Michael Burch and Wayne Bentley Jr. Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the funeral home.
