  1. Are "cattuccinos" and dog lattes poison?

I will be the first to admit that I don’t know the difference between an espresso and a cappuccino. I don’t understand what a latte is and I certainly don’t speak French. Sometimes, I even have a difficult time ordering coffee at certain establishments since I’m not very well versed in the newest “fancy” modern day coffee drinks.

  7. Feline leukemia virus very deadly to cats

In general, cats often get the short end of the stick or at least the short end of discussion. Cats take the back seat to dogs in almost every media exposure. They might get to equally share the limelight with dogs on America’s Funniest Videos, but there are definitely 10 times more movies starring dogs than cats.

  9. New hometown has a wealth of good people

Well, I went an entire week without an idea for a column, which is highly unusual for someone like me who never shuts her mouth. Now, I realize that extreme stress in one’s personal life can wipe one’s creative side of the brain clean as a whistle. Now that this past two weeks is behind us, I am about to bust with new insights, renewed life lessons and just plain ol’ thankfulness that we survived it all.
