Nancy Pugh Hamilton, 91, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Homewood in Williamsport, Md.
Born June 13, 1921, in Wheeling, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Clyde C. Pugh and the late Helen M. Pugh.
She was a 1942 graduate of West Virginia University, where she received a bachelor of arts in English. She was also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association and the Panhellenic.
She enjoyed golfing at Fountain Head Country Club and donating her time as a community volunteer.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Hamilton Russell of Hagerstown; son, James K. Hamilton and wife, Sally, of Bethesda, Md.; four grandchildren, Brian, Phillip, Elizabeth and Sara; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawrence Hamilton, in 2004.
A memorial service will be Monday, March 18, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 101 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Ann Boyd officiating.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 101 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.
