Our highlighted pets this week are Kitty and Sundance. Kitty is a pretty, 2-year-old calico cat. Kitty was abandoned by her owner who moved and left her behind.  Luckily, a kind neighbor rescued Kitty and brought her to the humane society so she would be safe until she finds her new forever home. Kitty enjoys her afternoon naps and having her head petted. She is sweet and affectionate and will make a wonderful companion.

  17. Lawn chemicals pose danger to pets

“Spring has sprung, the grass has riz…” or so goes the ditty. However, in my case, there is very little grass due to the weather conditions last summer, but there are lots of weeds.  I wonder if other pet owners are faced with the same problem.

It is important to understand that your first night with your new puppy is his first night away from his mother and siblings. Up until now, your puppy was dependent on his mother for food, protection and comfort.
