  5. Judge imposes stiff sentence for Computergate defendant

    Former state Rep. Brett Feese will serve 4 to 12 years in state prison for his part in the Computergate scandal, in which House Republicans used taxpayer-funded computer services to help their reelection campaigns. Prosecutors from the Attorney General's office say the scheme misappropriated more than $10 million of taxpayers' money from 2000 to 2007. In addition to the jail time, Judge Richard A. Lewis also hit Fees with $25,000 in fines and $1 million in restitution.
