    We&rsquo;ve heard a lot about triggers in the last few days; the deal struck over the debt ceiling is that Congress will approve an increase in the limit on federal borrowing then immediately mandate $900 billion in budget cuts. A bi-partisan committee would then find another $1.5 trillion in cuts over the next ten years and present it for a straight up or down vote. If Congress fails to pass the bipartisan recommended cuts to the budget, $1.2 trillion in cuts would immediately take effect.
