    I had the July 20 release date for “The Dark Knight Rises” in the back of my mind since it was announced by Warner Brothers about a year and a half ago. There was no doubt that I would see it at midnight, as I often do with movies for which I am genuinely excited. Some friends and I, all equally pumped about the movie, kept a Twitter countdown going in the days before the release. I was completely hyped all day Thursday and met up with friends at an adjacent restaurant to hang out two hours before show time.
