    In November, Centre College&rsquo;s faculty, staff and students worked to raise money for the Heart of Kentucky United Way, an organization that strives to improve the education, financial stability and lives of the citizens of Boyle, Mercer, Garrard and Lincoln counties. After the recent donation of a few last-minute gifts, the total amount of money raised topped out at $45,739.35. There has been an enormous increase in giving over the past several years; in 2005, the total amount was $27,748.58.
