Former baseball player Don Mattingly played first base for the New York Yankees from 1982 through 1995. A six-time All-Star and 1985 AL MVP, Mattingly won nine Gold Glove awards in a 10-year span from 1985 to 1994 and finished his career with 2,153 hits and a .307 batting average.
