  1. NFL draft preview: Quarterbacks

By comparison to the quarterback class of 2012, the class of 2013 is lackluster. There is no prospect who is rated anywhere near as highly as Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III were ranked one year ago, and every quarterback prospect this year has some significant holes.

  3. NFL draft preview: Cornerbacks

This is a solid group of corners. There is some high-end talent, led by Dee Milliner, and outstanding depth, especially in the second- and third-round range. The cornerback class is especially appealing to zone scheme teams. Among the appealing candidates for those teams are Johnthan Banks, Dwayne Gratz, Jordan Poyer, Logan Ryan and Sanders Commings. Many of the other candidates can play any kind of coverage.

  7. NFL draft preview: Safeties

This is an unusually deep group of safeties. As many as a dozen could be taken in the top three rounds, with the large majority of those being claimed in the second and third rounds. A safety probably will not be chosen in the top half of the first round, But Kenny Vaccaro of Texas won't last much past the middle of round one.

  9. So many needs, so few picks for Bears

It is one thing to say what the Bears need. It is another thing to determine when in the draft they should address it.
It is one thing to say what the Bears need. It is another thing to determine when in the draft they should address it. That is the quandary for NFL general managers. By my estimation, baring a trade, the Bears have more needs (six) than they have...

  11. Bears reaching for greatness

If the Bears had been picking 32nd instead of 20th, no one would have said boo about them selecting Kyle Long. But they were picking 20th, and they caught a lot of people by surprise.

  13. How low can Bears go?

  15. Pompei's mock NFL draft: 4.0

  17. Farmer's mock NFL draft

    1. Chiefs: T Luke Joeckel, Texas A&M. It could be Eric Fisher who goes first, but Joeckel has more big-game experience. If Andy Reid goes defense, it will be Star Lotulelei. 2. Jaguars: T Eric Fisher, Central Michigan. The modern draft never has gone...
