    George Ryder David Jr., 90, husband of Caroline Crase David, died at his home on July 9, 2011.  He was a former employee of Barrett Sewing factory, Sargant and Greenleaf and Jessamine County Animal Control. Mr. David served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and in the Army in World War II.  Additional survivors include his children, Georgia and husband Morris Wayne, Ricky and wife Beverly David, Vickie and husband Tim Hurt and Micki and husband Jack Gill, all of Nicholasville; a step son, Gary Crase-Danville; a daughter-in-law, Linda Coffey David; grandchildren, Rusty Wayne, Kathy Wayne Hall, Randy David, Kellie David Sanford, Michael David, Michelle David Fain, Rick David, Andrew Hurt, Tony Hurt, Jaclynn Gill Davis, John Gill; a step grandson, Ryan Bailey; numerous great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years Elizabeth Donathan David, a son Jerry David and a step daughter, Mary Ann Crase Bailey.  Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Baker and Rev. Bobby Becknell officiating. Burial followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. today. Grandchildren will serve as bearers. Online guest book at www.BettsandWestfuneralhome.com.
