HOBART, Ind. (AP) — Police in northwestern Indiana say a woman told officers that her boyfriend fired several blasts from a shotgun over her head after she turned down his marriage proposal.
The 29-year-old man from Hobart faces criminal recklessness charges in a Lake County court stemming from the confrontation.
The Times of Munster reports the woman told officers that the man became angry and pulled out the gun when she rejected his proposal this week.
Police reported that the man told officers responding to a report of gunshots that a friend who is a member of a biker gang had dropped his gun, causing it to fire.
