The Winchester-Clark County Ambulance Service Board formally approved the service’s proposed budget for the 1986-87 fiscal year at its regular meeting Wednesday, an action that prompted renewed discussion about the need for an ambulance taxing district. The board approved a total budget of $385,019.74, a budget that includes a four percent salary increase for the service’s employees.

Future plans for the Winchester Art Guild were discussed at the March 17 meeting in the Community Room at College Park. Planned events include the annual silver tea, spring exhibit and the Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival.

The Little Garden Club held its annual Guest Day at Duncan Tavern in Paris, with Mrs. James Benton Battaile, Mrs. Carle Mahan and Mrs. Charles Sattler as hostesses.
