Approximately 50 people will model spring and summer fashions Tuesday at the annual luncheon, bridge and style show of the Guerrant Clinic Auxiliary Inc. A highlight of the style show will be revue of “Roaring Twenties” fashions directed by Mrs. Marian Richards.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene McConnell, Meadowbrook, are among the local persons attending the 88th running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville. They are guests in the box of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tollie Young, Creekview Farm, Bourbon County. Other guests include Mrs. McConnell’s son, Reynolds LeBus and Mrs. LeBus, Lexington.
Miss Loretta Hatton and Hagan Codell were selected queen and king of the Nite Club Friday at the Clark County High School. Attendants were Miss Linda Biggerstaff and Eddie Keene, first; Cheryl Roberts and Wallace Cooper, second; and Miss Sally McCrary and Charles “Buzzie” Rankin, third. Letcher Norton, principal, crowned the winners. “Showboat” was the theme of the annual dance sponsored by the senior class at the senior high school gymnasium.
