AARP Chapter 632 met Thursday, June 28, at the Generations Center at 6 p.m. Don Rose, president, presided.
In lieu of the Pledge of Allegiance, The Journeymen, guests for the evening, sang the national anthem.
Betty Smith gave the blessing for the food.
Members celebrating June birthdays were Mary Rupsis and Don Rose.
After a potluck supper, The Journeymen entertained.
A short business meeting followed.
Members turned in donations in lieu of having a yard sale. The total collected was $260.20.
The state fair is Aug. 16-26. Volunteers are still needed to man the AARP booth.
Rose reported he had been to Hartford, Ky., to interview six more veterans. More than 150 interviews are on file at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Gladys Hammonds reported 12 people attended the June 5 game night. She has 39 door prizes left and a balance of $40.37. There was no game night July 3.
Jean Vaugn gave the treasurer’s report. Bobbye Woodruff read the May minutes.

Guests were Bob Cowen, Miller Gaunce, David Rogers, Mike Sheffiel, Linda Koppelman and Nancy Dunn.
Meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. July 26 at the Generations Center.
