AARP Chapter 632 met Thursday, June 28, at the Generations Center at 6 p.m. Don Rose, president, presided.
In lieu of the Pledge of Allegiance, The Journeymen, guests for the evening, sang the national anthem.
Betty Smith gave the blessing for the food.
Members celebrating June birthdays were Mary Rupsis and Don Rose.
After a potluck supper, The Journeymen entertained.
A short business meeting followed.
Members turned in donations in lieu of having a yard sale. The total collected was $260.20.
The state fair is Aug. 16-26. Volunteers are still needed to man the AARP booth.
Gladys Hammonds reported 12 people attended the June 5 game night. She has 39 door prizes left and a balance of $40.37. There was no game night July 3.
Jean Vaugn gave the treasurer’s report. Bobbye Woodruff read the May minutes.
Members present were Jim and Della Bender, Betty Smith, Don and Janet Rose, Garland and Geraldine Roe, Jean Pasley, Maureen Lien, Phyllis Wagner, Liz Ashcraft, Mary and Joseph Rupsis, Audrey King, Herman Cubbison, Gladys Hammonds, Ed Falk, Mary Leslie, Bill Burton, Dot Moberly, Ben and Barbara Falmlen, Earl Rainey and Colista Ledford.
Guests were Bob Cowen, Miller Gaunce, David Rogers, Mike Sheffiel, Linda Koppelman and Nancy Dunn.
Meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. July 26 at the Generations Center.
