Kiwanis meeting time set
The Winchester Kiwanis Club will meet at noon Wednesday at Taste of China. Michael Collins of the Thessenkrupp Elevator Co., will speak. Dr. Steve Dotson will be program chair.
Open house date changed
The open house at Winter Cottage at 208 Old Garden Court has been moved to Feb. 17. The event runs from 2 to 4 p.m. Homemade bread and hot chocolate will be served.
Sylvania retirees to meet
Winchester GTE/Sylvania/Osram/UAW retirees will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Union Hall. Following the meeting, the group will travel to JK's Country Store on the Old Boonesboro Road at Forest Grove for lunch. All retirees and former Sylvania employees are welcome for lunch.
Higgins heads museum program
The February program at the Bluegrass Heritage Museum will feature Chad Higgins on Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m. Higgins will talk about his gospel singing group, “In Spirit and In Truth,” based in Lexington. The group has been nominated for six 2013 Rhythm of Gospel awards. CD's will be available for purchase. All programs take place at the museum, 217 S. Main St. in Winchester, and are free to the public. Refreshments will be available. The museum has a handicapped accessible. Call 745-1358 for more information.

The George Rogers Clark High School SBDM will hold its regular meeting at 4 p.m. Feb. 7 in the library of the new high school building.
