The LLL Club met Nov. 8 at Central Baptist Church for a regular monthly meeting and potluck lunch.

Ed Davis called the meeting to order and led the group in opening prayer.Gilbert Wilder gave the devotional and introduced four visitors, Roy Haggard, Donna Ferguson, Jan Calico and Danny Calico. The Hoffmans’ grandchildren, Jordan and Dakota Huffman, also attended.The introduction to the program was given by Ed Davis.

David Hoffman and his wife, Glenda, gave the program on jail ministries. He has been in jail ministries for about 20 years, and he visits six different facilities, teaching the gospel of Christ to men and women.On Sunday morning, David and others teach Sunday school at the Clark County Detention Center.

There were 24 members present: Irene Anderson, Alice Barrett, Juanita Burkhart, Delena Crosby, Gayle Crowe, Jean Crowell, Phyllis Henderson, David Hoffman, Glenda Hoffman, Irene Lowry, Dorothy Moberly, Joe Pitts, Marie Quick, Peggy Snowden, Bill Snowden, Carolyn Steagall, Fannie Taylor, Alma Vaughn, Evelyn Witmer and Eunice Yarber.

On Monday, Dec. 6, the club will got to Richmond for lunch at Cracker Barrel. After lunch, there will be a shopping trip to J.C. Penney’s and Belk’s. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 10:30 a.m.The next meeting will be Dec. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Central Baptist Church.
