The home of June Banks, 213 French Ave., was the scene Dec. 8 of the Christmas meeting of the Ladies Prayer Circle of Ruckerville Church of Christ. The invocation was given by Marie Estes and the devotional, “The Story that Never Gets Old,” was read by Shirley Taulbee.
Winners have been announced in the Nationally Accredited Flower Show held recently by the Garden Gate Garden Club in College Park Library. Winners include: Division I Design: “As We Gather Together,” Peggy Fraley, first place; Kathy Barnes, second; Louise Kohl, third; and Arlene Grabowski, fourth. Blue ribbon rosettes Best in Show and Horticulture were awarded to Mrs. Grabowski for “Joy to the World” and “Foliage Plant.”
