The Clark County Fiscal Court acted on two changes recommended by the city-county planning commission at the Wednesday morning meeting. The court tentatively approved a recommendation made by the Winchester-Clark County Planning Commission earlier this month, which requires developers to submit their plans with requests for zoning changes.
Santa’s elves were wearing Winchester Fire Department uniforms Wednesday when the Christmas wish of Bradley and Sally Barrett of 365 Rowland Ave. was answered. The Barretts were facing Christmas without a tree and without means of getting one when the third shift of the WFD¿heard about it and decided to help Santa. Delivering the tree were Sterling Bellamy, Ron Thomas, Larry Pasley, Mike Johnson, Bill Bennett, Paul Heil, Danny Muncie Jr. and Maynard McGeever.
Programs for helping physically and mentally handicapped persons find gainful employment were outlined at Wednesday’s luncheon meeting of the Winchester Kiwanis Club.
