“Gearing Up For the Future” was the theme of the Kentucky Association of Extension 4-H¿Agents Winter Conference Dec. 10-11 in Bowling Green. Rose Swope of Clark County attended with more than 75 other agents from across the state. A tour of the Chevrolet Corvette assembly plant and a discussion of the professional etiquette and image were the highlights of the conference.
Dolores Hess, a World Book district manager, presented a set of World Book Encyclopedia to the Rev. and Mrs. Glenn Esley and their children, Charla, 6; Cherilyn, 8; and Christa, 10, students at Shearer School. Through a program called “Company with a Heart,”¿World Book donates sets of encyclopedia to families with children in school.
Clark County students and their teacher, Nancy Claire Rose, recently attended a two-day conference on planning alcohol-free graduation parties and activities sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Education and the Kentucky State Police in Louisville.
